Challenge Mode in *Phasmophobia* is a special weekly feature designed to test your ghost-hunting abilities under unique and often restrictive conditions. Each week, a new challenge is introduced, featuring preset contracts, limited equipment, and altered ghost behaviors that can make or break your investigation.
The Do As I Command Challenge stands out as one of the more approachable tasks in this mode. While other challenges strip you of key tools and crank up ghost aggression, this one offers a relatively forgiving setup—making it ideal for players looking to get their feet wet or earn some steady rewards without too much risk.
Challenge Mode is a rotating weekly event in *Phasmophobia* that presents players with a predefined contract and specific rules. These challenges reset every Sunday and vary greatly in difficulty—from slightly modified hunts to near-impossible scenarios that demand expert teamwork and strategy.
To complete a challenge, you must successfully fulfill the contract requirements **three times** during the active week. The runs don't need to be consecutive, but they must be completed before the next reset. Additionally, correctly identifying the ghost type each time is mandatory for progress tracking.
While optional objectives aren’t required, they can earn you bonus points—helpful if you're trying to prestige up your character. Completing a full challenge grants you a base reward of $5,000 plus any additional points earned through gameplay.
The “Do As I Command” Challenge asks you to force a ghost to provide evidence—meaning it will be less active than usual, making detection and identification more difficult. This challenge is set exclusively on the Sunny Meadows map (the Restricted version is not allowed).
You’ll be provided with a full Tier 3 loadout at no cost, giving you access to all necessary tools such as EMFs, thermometers, UV lights, incense, smudge sticks, and cameras. Even better, the fuse box works normally in this challenge, so turn on the lights as soon as you arrive to avoid unnecessary darkness-related scares.
The real advantage of this challenge, however, lies in the inclusion of all seven Cursed Possessions—something rarely offered in other Challenge Mode entries. These items are located together in the chapel area:
Use these items strategically to provoke the usually inactive ghost into revealing clues. However, be cautious—these objects can cause severe sanity drops or even initiate cursed hunts, putting your team at risk.
Because the ghost is naturally quiet, using Cursed Possessions is highly recommended to speed up your investigation and gather enough evidence for a successful identification.
Successfully completing three contracts under the Do As I Command Challenge conditions will unlock your full reward. It's an excellent opportunity to practice with Cursed Objects while earning solid in-game currency and experience points.
