Hotta Studios' upcoming 3D open-world RPG, Neverness to Everness, is gearing up for its first closed beta test. Unfortunately, this initial test will be exclusively available to players in mainland China.
Gematsu recently provided a glimpse into newly revealed lore, adding depth to the game's world. The additions, however, won't surprise those familiar with the trailers showcasing the city of Eibon (see below). The lore expands on the game's comedic elements and the intriguing blend of the bizarre and ordinary within Hetherau.
Hotta Studios, a subsidiary of Perfect World (creators of the successful Tower of Fantasy), is venturing into a familiar 3D RPG landscape with a unique twist. Neverness to Everness distinguishes itself through several features, most notably: open-world driving! Players can purchase and customize a variety of vehicles, experiencing realistic consequences for reckless driving.

Upon release, Neverness to Everness will encounter formidable competition. Titles like MiHoYo's Zenless Zone Zero and NetEase's Ananta (formerly Project Mugen), both occupying similar niches in the 3D open-world mobile RPG market, will pose significant challenges.
