How To Find & Catch the Burglar (Robin Banks) in The Sims 4

by Mila Mar 06,2025

The Sims 4's latest update brings back a classic: the Burglar, now known as Robin Banks! This nocturnal thief targets Sims' homes, attempting to steal valuable items. Learn how to catch her and protect your Sims' belongings.

The Sims 4 Burglar teaser.

Robin Banks only appears at night, making her a challenging adversary. To increase the chances of a visit (and a bit of chaotic fun), activate the new "Heist Havoc" Lot Challenge. This also increases the likelihood of the Burglar escaping with loot, even with alarms triggered.

Catching the Burglar:

If you're lucky enough to be awake during her heist, you have options. You can call the police for a classic arrest. Alternatively, your Sim can engage in fisticuffs with Robin Banks – fitter Sims have a greater chance of success.

Defensive Strategies:

Several in-game features and expansion packs offer unique defenses:

  • Dogs: A canine companion will chase her away. (Requires The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs Expansion Pack)
  • Werewolves: Their intimidating presence can deter the Burglar. (Requires The Sims 4 Werewolves Game Pack)
  • Spellcasters: A range of spells, from confusion to transformations, are at their disposal. (Requires The Sims 4 Realm of Magic Game Pack)
  • Servos: Their defense matrix can immobilize Robin Banks. (Requires The Sims 4 Discover University Expansion Pack)
  • Scientists: The Freeze Ray provides a handy immobilization tool. (Requires The Sims 4 Get to Work Expansion Pack)
  • Vampires: A quick snack followed by an eviction order is a tempting option. (Requires The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack)

Install the Burglar Alarm for added security. Remember, preparedness is key to thwarting Robin Banks' nefarious plans!

The Sims 4 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
