Valentine's Day may not be a traditional shopping holiday, but it's a perfect time to buy gifts for your loved ones. Retailers offer discounts from early February through Valentine's Day on a wide range of gift items. Expect to see deals on smart watches, jewelry, LEGO flower sets, video games, and book sets. As the first major sales event of 2025, Valentine's Day often features some of the year's lowest prices so far.

8. 4th of July Sales (July 1–6)

The 4th of July offers a wide range of discounts, often rivaling Prime Day or Black Friday. Expect price cuts on major electronics like TVs and gaming monitors, as well as mattresses, appliances, furniture, clothing, and summer items like sporting equipment and grills.

9. Prime Day (Mid-July)

Amazon Prime Day has grown to rival Black Friday in terms of discounts and is the first major sales event of the year. While it started as an Amazon-only event, it now sees participation from retailers like Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and Kohl's. Prime Day 2025 is expected to start on July 15 and run through July 16, with other retailers offering sales around the same time.

Following Prime Day, August features back-to-school sales, culminating in Labor Day sales. Expect discounts on mattresses, clothing, LEGO sets, laptops, PCs, Apple products, and outdoor gear. 12. Black Friday Sales (November 1–30)

Black Friday is the ultimate shopping event, offering the best deals across all categories and retailers. While Black Friday 2025 falls on November 28, the sales window extends throughout November. The best deals often occur on Thanksgiving and the following Friday, with official sales starting around November 21.

13. Cyber Monday Sales (November 30–December 5)

Cyber Monday, which started in 2005, has grown to match Black Friday in significance. It offers online discounts following Thanksgiving weekend. Cyber Monday sales typically begin on the Sunday of Black Friday weekend and extend through the week, often labeled as Cyber Week.

Green Monday, created by eBay in 2007, marks the last major sales push before Christmas. While not as large as Black Friday or Cyber Monday, it offers a final chance to buy gifts with timely delivery. In 2024, Green Monday sales extended until December 24, often labeled as "last-minute" sales.

15. New Year's Sales (December 26–January 1)
