Where To Find Sisters of Garukhan

The Sisters of Garukhan encounter appears within the Spires of Deshar map during both Act 2 and Act 2 Cruel. Each interaction with this shrine grants a permanent +10% Lightning Resistance bonus. The shrine's map icon can be surprisingly inconspicuous, explaining why numerous players remain unaware of its existence.

Since every map in PoE 2 features procedural generation, no fixed route exists through the Spires of Deshar that guarantees discovery. However, the shrine consistently appears somewhere within this map region—thorough exploration eventually reveals the distinctive altar structure shown in our reference image. Approach and interact with the shrine to receive your Lightning Resistance bonus. How to Get +10% Lightning Resistance From Sisters of Garukhan

The +10% Lightning Resistance bonus applies instantly upon interacting with the Sister of Garukhan statue. This enhancement isn't a dropped item nor a reward for defeating the metallic automatons that ambush you—it activates automatically the moment you engage with the shrine.

This encounter repeats in both Act 2 and Act 2 Cruel during PoE 2's early access phase. Ensure you activate the shrine during both campaign iterations to receive the bonus twice, accumulating a total +20% Lightning Resistance.

Why is +10% Lightning Resistance Not Activating

Many players experience confusion when their resistance statistics appear negative even after successfully activating the Sisters of Garukhan shrine and receiving the confirmation message. This apparent discrepancy has a straightforward explanation.

Path of Exile 2 automatically applies a -10% penalty to all elemental resistances upon completing each Act (excluding Chaos Resistance). Thus, when you first complete the Sisters of Garukhan in Act 2, your Lightning Resistance nets to zero as the bonus cancels out the penalty from Act 1 completion. During Act 2 Cruel, your Lightning Resistance will improve from -40% to -30% after reactivating the shrine.
