This AFK Journey tier list helps you determine which characters to prioritize. Remember, most characters are viable, but some excel in endgame content. This list ranks characters based on versatility, overall performance in PvE, Dream Realm, and PvP.

AFK Journey Tier List

This tier list reflects character performance as of December 2024. The meta is dynamic, so expect changes with future updates and character additions.

S-Tier Characters

This tier houses top-performing, versatile characters excelling across various game modes. Lily May, a powerful Wilder rogue, offers significant damage and utility. Thoran remains a top F2P tank. Reinier is a crucial support for both PvE and PvP. Koko, Smokey & Meerky are essential supports for most game modes. Odie shines in Dream Realm and PvE. Eironn, with Damien and Arden, forms a dominant Arena team. Tasi provides excellent crowd control for the Wilder faction, and Harak, a powerful Hypogean/Celestial warrior, gets stronger with each enemy kill.

A-Tier Characters

A-tier characters are strong contenders, often excelling in specific areas. Lyca and Vala utilize the crucial Haste stat effectively. Antandra serves as a solid alternative tank to Thoran. Viperian complements a Graveborn core with energy-draining abilities. Alsa is a strong DPS mage, particularly effective with Eironn in PvP. Phraesto, a durable tank, lacks damage output. Ludovic is a powerful Graveborn healer, synergizing well with Talene. Cecia, while still a capable Marksman, has decreased in overall value. Sonja significantly enhances the Lightborne faction with respectable damage and utility.

B-Tier Characters

B-tier characters are functional but often outclassed by higher-tier alternatives. Valen and Brutus are solid early-game DPS options. Granny Dahnie provides decent tanking and support. Arden and Damien are PvP mainstays but less effective in other modes. Florabelle offers secondary DPS support but requires significant investment. Soren is decent in PvP but lacks effectiveness elsewhere. Korin's Dream Realm performance has diminished.

C-Tier Characters

C-tier characters are generally outclassed quickly. While useful in the early game, they are easily replaced by stronger units. Parisa, though possessing a powerful AoE attack, is quickly surpassed. Consider focusing on summoning higher-tier characters.

This tier list is a guideline. Character effectiveness depends on team composition, player skill, and game updates. Continuously review and adjust your team based on your progress and the evolving meta.
