Weeks after unveiling the first trailer for its mobile adaptation, *9th Dawn Remake* is finally available on Android. This updated version revives the classic dungeon crawler RPG experience, now featuring a vast world filled with exploration, updated mechanics, and plenty of nostalgic charm.
This new mobile iteration is a complete rebuild of the original *9th Dawn*, which first launched in 2012 under Valorware. While it retains the core essence of the classic dungeon crawler, this remake introduces expanded dungeons, new quests, improved systems, and a host of modern enhancements to keep players engaged.
The adventure begins with a seemingly simple mystery—the disappearance of a lighthouse keeper. However, this small event unravels into a much darker narrative involving a spreading evil force across the land of Montelorne. As the story unfolds, you’ll journey through treacherous lands, uncover ancient secrets, and ultimately face the menacing Castle of Maltyr, a stronghold teeming with some of the continent’s most fearsome creatures.
Throughout your journey, you’ll have the chance to gear up, level your character, and raise monster pets from eggs—each evolving to fight alongside you in battle. The game also features an extensive loot system, where collecting gear and completing your in-game journal unlocks exclusive rewards.
With over 45 handcrafted dungeons to explore, each offering unique layouts and challenges, *9th Dawn Remake* ensures a deep and rewarding gameplay loop. You can customize your character’s build, unlock powerful spells, and allocate attribute points to suit your preferred playstyle.
The game also includes a robust crafting system, allowing you to forge weapons, brew potions, and upgrade gear for optimal performance. Beyond the main quest, there are numerous side activities to enjoy, such as a strategic deck-building card game and a quirky fishing mode where you command worm-warriors in competitive battles.
Additionally, various side quests—like aiding villagers in Montelorne—offer rare items and help boost the region’s overall prosperity, adding another layer of immersion and progression to the game world.
If you'd like to try before you commit, a free demo is available for download. For those interested in tracking achievements, saving progress in the cloud, or playing online, installing Google Play Games is recommended.
The game supports multiplayer through a local co-op mode, allowing you to play with a friend using a private room code. Please note that for local co-op, a separate controller is required. Meanwhile, the single-player experience works perfectly offline, giving you the flexibility to play anytime, anywhere.
Ready to dive in? You can grab the full version of *9th Dawn Remake* for Android directly from the [Google Play Store].
