Warzone Fans Alert: Call of Duty Merch Shop Hints at Verdansk Return Next Week

by George Apr 22,2025

Exciting news for fans of Call of Duty Warzone—the beloved Verdansk map is set to make a triumphant return on March 10, 2025. Activision first hinted at Verdansk's comeback last August, teasing fans with a "spring 2025" timeframe. Now, the wait is nearly over, as a visit to the Call of Duty shop reveals a countdown and a pop-up announcing "The Verdansk Collection," thanks to the scoop from InsiderGaming.

Alongside the announcement, a striking tri-color sketch showcases an alpine landscape complete with snow, pine trees, a dam, and a crashed plane—scenes that will be familiar to anyone who played in Warzone's original sandbox. While Verdansk was replaced by Verdansk '84 in Season 3 and then by Caldera in 2021, the only way to revisit it currently is through Call of Duty Warzone Mobile. This news comes as a surprise to those who were told in 2021 that "current-day Verdansk is gone and it's not coming back."

In other Call of Duty news, Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Season 2 is now live, introducing five new Multiplayer maps named Bounty, Dealership, Lifeline, Bullet, and Grind. It also brings back the fan-favorite Gun Game mode, along with new weapons and operators. Don't miss out on the highly anticipated (and pricey) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover event.

However, the latest update for Warzone has been scaled back from what was initially planned. The development team is focusing on addressing critical issues, including gameplay tuning, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements, to enhance the overall experience for players.
