Warframe: 1999, with its unique Y2K aesthetic, is gearing up for an exciting update this March, dubbed Techrot Encore. Announced during one of Digital Extremes' devstreams, this update introduces the 60th Warframe, Temple, alongside four new Protoframes. But that's not all—players will encounter familiar faces turned foes with the introduction of the Technocyte Coda, the mutated form of the once-beloved boy band On-Lyne. Originally part of the ARG leading up to Warframe: 1999's launch, On-Lyne now brings their star power to the battlefield as part of the new Lich adversary system.
To tackle these new challenges, players will have access to four new Scaldra weapons, perfect for any firefight. Additionally, the update includes enhancements to the Romance & Relationships system, a new Gyre Deluxe cosmetic skin, and the aforementioned Protoframes and Warframe. This blend of new content and familiar faces promises to keep players engaged and entertained.
The turn-of-the-century vibe that Warframe: 1999 offers is undeniably captivating, and the transformation of a boy band into cybernetic monstrosities adds a thrilling twist to the game's enemy roster. The anticipation for this update is palpable, and fans of the game are eager to dive into this new content.
Before the Techrot Encore update hits in March, players can jump back into the action with the return of Clan Operation: Belly of the Beast starting February 6th, alongside new skins and Nightwave Vol. 8 for additional rewards.
