TennoCon 2024 delivered a knockout punch with the announcement of Warframe: 1999, a massive update promising a thrilling journey back to a Y2K-era alternate Earth. Get ready for a retro-fueled adventure unlike any other!

Kicking things off is a prologue quest, "The Lotus Eaters," arriving in August 2024. Reuniting players with a beloved character, this quest sets the stage for the main event, introducing the world of 1999 and the powerful Sevatgoth Prime Warframe and its exclusive weapons. Completing "The Lotus Eaters" is a prerequisite for experiencing Warframe: 1999, slated for release in Winter 2024.

Warframe: 1999 plunges players into the heart of a Techrot-infested 1999 Höllvania, a city teetering on the brink of a Y2K-induced catastrophe. Navigate this vibrant, yet corrupted, landscape using the new Atomicyles – high-octane vehicles capable of bullet jumps, drifts, and even explosive maneuvers. Leading the charge is the Hex, a team of six heroes each equipped with a unique Protoframe, a Warframe design that showcases the human pilot.

The Hex boasts an all-star cast of voice actors, including Alpha Takahashi, Ben Starr, Melissa Medina, and Amelia Tyler. Interact with them through in-game instant messaging – a truly authentic 1999 experience!

Prepare to face off against On-lyne, a 90s boy band turned Technocte-infected enemies, fronted by the charismatic Zeke (voiced by Nick Apostolides). Their infectious tunes are available now on major streaming platforms!

Fashion is key, and Warframe: 1999 delivers! Players can equip two fashion frame loadouts and switch between them on the fly. The introduction of Gemini Skins lets you bring the Protoframes, like Arthur and Aoi, into the Origin System, complete with fully voiced dialogue.

Beyond the core gameplay, Digital Extremes is partnering with THE LINE to create an anime short based on Warframe: 1999. Plus, new Heirloom skins are available now for Ember, with a Rhino skin coming early 2025.
