  • The Nintendo Switch patch addressing these issues will be released "as soon as possible."
  • These issues have already been resolved on PC, console, and mobile, but the Switch patch is still in development.

Stardew Valley’s developer, ConcernedApe, has taken to social media to announce that the much-anticipated Nintendo Switch patch addressing the divorce crash and raccoon shop issues will be released soon. Since its launch in 2016, Stardew Valley has captured the hearts of gamers worldwide with its charming pixel art and relaxing gameplay, and continues to thrive thanks to regular updates and community engagement. While these specific issues have already been resolved on PC, mobile, and other consoles, the update for the Switch version is still in the works.

ConcernedApe's dedication to improving Stardew Valley is evident in the numerous updates the game has received over the years. In December, an update aimed at resolving persistent issues was rolled out to other platforms, and now, the focus is on bringing these fixes to the Nintendo Switch. The developer took to Twitter to reassure players that the patch addressing the divorce crash and raccoon shop is "still coming," emphasizing that it will be released as soon as possible. Following the launch of update 1.6 in March, which introduced new content like the Meadowlands Farm, new NPC chats, and visual enhancements, players noticed these issues, prompting swift action from ConcernedApe.

Stardew Valley Switch Patch Fixing Divorce Crash and Raccoon Shop Coming Soon

The release of update 1.6 for PC in March brought a wealth of new content to Stardew Valley, including new festivals, events, and a new farm type. However, while this update resolved many gameplay issues, it inadvertently introduced new problems on console and mobile versions released in November. An emergency patch was swiftly deployed for the mobile version on November 15, and work continued on fixes for other platforms.

The Stardew Valley community has expressed appreciation for ConcernedApe’s transparent communication and quick responses to player feedback. Although the patch fixing the divorce crash and raccoon shop on the Switch isn't available yet, players can be confident that the developer is diligently working to bring it to them soon.
