SEGA Stars Join Sonic Rumble for Epic First Crossover!

Even before its global launch, Sonic Rumble has kicked off with a bang by introducing Crossover Event #0: SEGA Stars, featuring some of the most iconic characters from the SEGA universe. This exciting event is live now and will run until May 7th, just ahead of the game's worldwide launch on May 8th.

Currently in soft launch, Sonic Rumble is accessible in over 40 countries. The game initially entered pre-launch in Summer 2024 in regions including the Philippines, Scandinavian countries, and Colombia. Following this, pre-launch 2 expanded to Canada, Turkey, Malaysia, South Africa, and additional regions.

What’s in Store?

If you're in a region where Sonic Rumble has soft-launched, you can join the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars crossover event. The event brings back the Altered Beast crew, with the Werewolf transformation available for free. Nostalgic fans can also get the Werebear and Weredragon transformations, with the Weredragon exclusive to the Premium Pass and the Werebear potentially purchasable with regular rings.

Adding to the excitement, characters from Fantasy Zone, Opa-Opa and Upa-Upa, join the fray. Opa-Opa is part of the Premium Pass, while Upa-Upa can be acquired through fragments bought with standard rings at 700 rings each.

Super Monkey Ball's AiAi and MeeMee have also made their way into the crossover. AiAi is available for 729 Red Star Rings. You can get a glimpse of the event in the video below.

Earn Exclusive Goodies During the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars Crossover

During the event, you can earn additional rewards by collecting SEGA logos in matches. Although it might seem unusual for the event to be live before the global release, SEGA has assured that most of these pre-release rewards will return later.

The first crossover event of Sonic Rumble dives deep into SEGA's rich history, bringing together monkeys, sentient arcade ships, and transformed beasts alongside Sonic and his friends. This blend of characters adds a promising flair to the game.

You can download Sonic Rumble from the Google Play Store now or wait for its global release on May 8th in your region.
