In *Citizen Sleeper 2*, it's almost inevitable that you'll encounter damage to your dice throughout your gameplay. This guide will walk you through the process of repairing them, ensuring you can return to rolling with confidence.
The primary culprit behind dice breaking in *Citizen Sleeper 2* is Stress. As you navigate the game, you'll accumulate stress, particularly when you fail actions or find yourself in a "Starving" state. The more stress you accumulate, the higher the likelihood of your dice breaking. Each die can withstand three hits before it requires repair.
Although you might experience dice breaking early on while on Hexport, you won't be able to repair them until you reach Far Spindle. Here, you'll meet a character named Bliss, who will unlock the Rig Workshop on your ship. When you're not engaged in a Contract, you can utilize the Rig Workshop to repair your dice. You'll have two repair options: Improvised Repairs and Dice Repair.
Improvised Repair requires 2 Scrap Components. This method will fix one of your dice, but it will increase the Glitch meter, raising the risk of ending up with a glitched die.
On the other hand, Dice Repair demands 1 Rare Component, which are harder to come by. However, this method adds less to the Glitch meter. If you can afford it, opting for Dice Repair is generally the better choice. Yet, I found that using Improvised Repair didn't cause too many issues. As you progress towards the end of *Citizen Sleeper 2*, acquiring Rare Components becomes easier, so there's no need to be overly cautious with them.
Occasionally, depending on your difficulty setting, you might end up with glitched dice, which have a 20 percent chance of a positive outcome and an 80 percent chance of a negative one. While the game doesn't offer a direct method to repair these, certain story events, particularly after the "Diagnose Your Frame" drive, can repair a single glitched die. So, don't lose hope!
And that's how you repair dice in *Citizen Sleeper 2*. Keep these tips in mind to maintain your dice and enhance your gameplay experience.
