PS5 Pro Launches with Black Ops 6, BG3, FF7 Rebirth, Palworld and More Getting Graphical Enhancements

Sony has officially announced that over 50 games will be enhanced and ready to play on the launch day of the PS5 Pro. Additionally, various reports have surfaced online detailing the PS5 Pro's specifications ahead of its highly anticipated release.

PS5 Pro Confirms 50+ Games Available at Launch

In an exciting post on the official PlayStation blog, Sony unveiled the list of games that will be enhanced for the PS5 Pro's release on November 7. A total of 55 games will feature PS5 Pro enhancements right from the start. "On November 7, PlayStation 5 Pro will usher in a new era of stunning visuals," Sony announced. "The console brings graphical enhancements such as advanced ray tracing, PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution, and silky smooth frame rates of up to 60Hz or 120Hz, depending on your TV's capabilities, thanks to an upgraded GPU."

The launch lineup boasts major titles including Black Ops 6, Palworld, Baldur's Gate 3, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Stellar Blade, and many more. Here's the complete list of over 50 games that will be available on day one with PS5 Pro enhancements:

PS5 Pro Specs Revealed Ahead of Release

Sony has previously confirmed that the PS5 Pro includes "Tempest 3D Audio" for a more immersive sound experience, along with enhanced haptic feedback in its DualSense wireless controller. The console also introduces PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution, an AI-driven feature that enhances visual output. Additionally, the PS5 Pro offers backwards compatibility with PS4 games through PS5 Pro Game Boost, enhancing their performance on the new console.

Ahead of the PS5 Pro's official release on Thursday, several early adopters have shared the console's specifications online. While these details are yet to be officially confirmed by Sony, they provide an intriguing look at what to expect.

In their early review, tech outlet Digital Foundry reported that the PS5 Pro is powered by an AMD Ryzen Zen 2 8-core/16-thread processor. Coupled with the RDNA (Radeon DNA) graphics engine, it is said to deliver a performance of 16.7 Teraflops, significantly surpassing the PS5's 10.23 Teraflops. Reports also suggest that the PS5 Pro's GPU is 67% more powerful than the current PS5 model, and its memory is 28% faster, enabling 45% faster rendering for gameplay.

Digital Foundry's review further revealed that the PS5 Pro operates within a temperature range of 5 to 35 degrees Celsius and comes equipped with a 2 TB Custom SSD, USB Type A and Type C ports, a disc drive port, and supports Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity.
