Attention all GoldenEye enthusiasts, it's time to rally! IO Interactive has exciting news: their upcoming James Bond game, Project 007, is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. According to IO Interactive's website, this game promises an entirely new narrative within the iconic Bond universe.
"Players will step into the shoes of the world's favorite Secret Agent to earn their 00 status in the very first James Bond origin story," the developer announced, setting the stage for what fans can anticipate in the game's storyline.
In an exclusive interview with IGN back in October, IO Interactive's Head, Hakan Abrak, shared his enthusiasm about crafting a fresh origin story for the beloved spy. "What's exciting about that project is that we actually got to do an original story. So it's not a gamification of a movie," he explained. "It's completely beginning and becoming a story, hopefully for a big trilogy out there in the future. And equally important and exciting, it's a new Bond. It's a Bond we built from the ground up for gamers. It's extremely exciting with all the tradition and all the history there is there together to work on this together with the family of creating a young Bond for gamers; a Bond that the gamers can call their own and grow with."
