Popular Korean Sims-Like, inZOI, to Launch Spring 2025

by Sophia Feb 24,2025

Krafton's highly anticipated life simulator, inZOI, has been pushed back to March 28, 2025, to ensure a superior gaming experience. This decision, announced by director Hyungjin "Kjun" Kim on the game's Discord server, prioritizes building a "stronger foundation" for the game.

The delay, Kjun explained, is partly due to overwhelmingly positive player feedback from character creator demos and playtests. This feedback highlighted the need to deliver a complete and polished product. He used the analogy of raising a child, emphasizing the lengthy process of nurturing a game to its full potential.

"After reviewing your feedback from inZOI… we have made our decision to release inZOI in Early Access on March 28, 2025," stated Kjun. "We apologize that we could not bring you the game sooner, but this decision reflects our commitment to giving inZOI the best possible start."

The postponement, while potentially frustrating for eager players, underscores Krafton's dedication to quality. This is particularly significant given inZOI's character studio's impressive 18,657 concurrent player peak during its brief availability on Steam before its removal on August 25, 2024.

Initially unveiled in Korea in 2023, inZOI is poised to challenge The Sims' dominance in the life simulation genre, promising unparalleled customization and realistic visuals. The delay strategically avoids a rushed release, especially considering the cancellation of Life By You earlier this year. However, this places inZOI in direct competition with Paralives, another life simulator slated for a 2025 release.

While the wait until March 2025 requires patience, Krafton assures players the result will be a deeply immersive experience, promising countless hours of gameplay "for years to come." From managing work stress to virtual karaoke nights, inZOI aims to carve its own unique niche within the life simulation landscape, surpassing its status as a mere Sims competitor.
