Players are expressing dissatisfaction with the visual presentation of the Community Showcase feature in Pokemon TCG Pocket. While appreciating the feature's inclusion, many find the display of cards alongside sleeves underwhelming and visually unappealing due to excessive empty space.
Pokemon TCG Pocket faithfully recreates the physical Pokemon Trading Card Game experience on mobile, allowing players to open packs, collect cards, and battle. The game boasts a comprehensive feature set, including a Community Showcase for publicly displaying card collections.
However, a recent Reddit thread highlights widespread criticism of the Showcase's visual design. Users point out that cards are presented as small icons beside their sleeves, rather than prominently featured within them. This has led to accusations of developers, DeNA, cutting corners, although alternative explanations suggest a design choice intended to encourage closer examination of each display.
Demand for Community Showcase Improvements
The Community Showcase in Pokemon TCG Pocket allows players to showcase cards with various themed sleeves, earning in-game tokens based on received "likes." The current presentation, however, is widely considered subpar. The small card icons within the larger sleeve art are seen as a significant flaw.
Currently, there are no announced plans to address these visual concerns. However, future updates will introduce virtual card trading, expanding the game's social features. This suggests a potential focus on social interaction rather than immediate visual improvements to the Community Showcase.
