Tactical Adventures has released a free demo for Solasta 2, their upcoming turn-based tactical RPG set within the Dungeons & Dragons universe. This sequel to Solasta: Crown of the Magister allows players to create a party of four heroes and explore the land of Neokhos, a quest for redemption against an ancient evil. Choices significantly impact the narrative, offering players considerable freedom in exploration and decision-making.
The demo includes core elements from the first Solasta game, such as tactical turn-based combat, extensive character customization, and dynamic NPC interactions. A helpful "Helpful Dice" feature, enabled by default, mitigates bad luck streaks for new players, but can be disabled for a more challenging experience. Strategic use of the environment is key to victory, adding a layer of tactical depth to combat.
Players can enjoy the demo solo or with friends in cooperative multiplayer, similar to Divinity: Original Sin. The demo features a variety of class-based challenges and encounters, providing a taste of the full game's complexity. Tactical Adventures welcomes player feedback to further polish the final release.
The game's system requirements are modest: at minimum, an Intel Core i5-8400 CPU, 16 GB of RAM, and either an NVIDIA GTX 1060 or AMD RX 580 GPU are recommended for optimal performance.
