Pikmin Bloom is all set to celebrate its 3.5th anniversary next month, and Niantic is bringing back some nostalgic gadgets to the game. The festivities will kick off with a new event starting on May 1st, 2025.
Over the years, Pikmin Bloom has introduced a variety of fun decor items, such as Pikmin adorned with Mahjong Tiles and Playing Cards. For its 3.5th anniversary, Pikmin Bloom is reviving the classic Nintendo game consoles from the 80s and 90s.
Additionally, they're introducing a Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin, paying homage to Nintendo's origins when they produced playing cards before venturing into video games. The designs of these cards are inspired by Nintendo's vintage playing card decks.
The event will run from May 1st until May 31st, 2025, giving you a full month to engage in missions and collect exciting new Pikmin. Completing Event Challenge missions will earn you random rewards, including Game Button Cells, seedlings that can sprout into Nintendo Consoles '80-'95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals.
During the event, Brilliant Mushrooms will appear. Destroying these mushrooms will yield Mystery Boxes containing items like Game Button Cells, flower petals, and more. The Nintendo Consoles '80-'95 or Playing Card Decor Pikmin are especially effective at tackling these mushrooms.
In May, flowers can blossom into carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, or anniversary roses when you plant red, yellow, white, or blue petals around them.
There's also a nectar update, so that fruit from mushrooms during May will provide nectar for regular flowers, as well as for special ones like carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.
Plenty of other exciting activities are planned, including Community Day. Download Pikmin Bloom from the Google Play Store and get ready for the 3.5th anniversary celebration.
