Omori Cancels Switch and PS4 Physical Release in EuropeMeridiem Games, Omori's European publisher, has announced the cancellation of the game's physical release for Nintendo Switch and PS4 in Europe. The publisher cited technical difficulties related to multilingual European localization as the reason for the cancellation.

A String of Delays Leads to Cancellation

The planned European physical release faced multiple delays. Initially slated for March 2023, it was pushed back to December 2023, then to March 2024, and finally to January 2025. Pre-orders were affected by these postponements, ultimately resulting in the cancellation. While Meridiem Games offered little further explanation beyond the initial announcement on Twitter (X), the accumulating delays clearly contributed to the decision.

This news is disappointing for many fans, particularly those anticipating the game's official release in Spanish and other European languages. The cancellation leaves European players with the option of importing a US physical copy as their only means of obtaining a physical version for Switch and PS4.
