Bandai Namco's popular fortress strategy RPG, Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage, is officially closing its doors. This isn't entirely unexpected for many players, mirroring the fate of its predecessor, Naruto Blazing.
Shutdown Date:
The game, launched in 2017, will cease operations on December 9th, 2024. Until then, players can continue enjoying the remaining events and features.
Final Events:
Several events are planned before the end:
Players can still collect cards, participate in summoning events, and utilize in-game items until the final day. It's recommended to spend any remaining Gold Coins.
Reasons for Closure:
While initially well-received for its balanced village-building and defense mechanics, the game's later development proved problematic. The introduction of Minato, and subsequent power creep, alienated many players. Increased pay-to-win elements, reduced free-to-play rewards, and the decline of multiplayer features ultimately contributed to the game's decline and eventual closure. The game remains available on the Google Play Store for those interested in a final playthrough.
