New Monster Outbreaks Feature Tested in Monster Hunter Now

Excitement is brewing in the world of Monster Hunter Now, as Niantic introduces a thrilling new feature called Monster Outbreaks. Currently in the testing phase, this feature aims to gather player feedback and fine-tune the experience before its official release. Let's dive into the details of the Monster Outbreaks testing event.

When Is the Monster Outbreaks Testing in Monster Hunter Now?

The testing for Monster Outbreaks will take place over the weekend of April 26th to 27th. The event will occur twice daily, on both Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 to 10:59 a.m. and from 3:00 to 3:59 p.m., local time. During these specific time windows, players can participate in the event to test the new feature.

During the Monster Outbreaks, designated outbreak points on the map will see a surge of 8-star Black Diablos. The objective is for players to team up and take down 100 of these formidable creatures at each outbreak point within the one-hour window. It's important to note that this target is specific to each outbreak location and not a global total.

To participate, you must have a Hunter Rank (HR) of 11 or higher. Additionally, the event does not support the party feature; only in-person group hunts will be counted. Outbreak points are clearly marked on the map with a special icon, and players can tap on these icons to view details and even sign up on a roster to coordinate with others.

Black Diablos Is Rolling Up with Serious Boss Energy, in Swarm Mode!

The mechanics of the event are intriguing. If you and three other hunters take down a single Black Diablos, it counts as four towards the goal of 100. Should your group reach the 100-monster mark before the time runs out, you can continue hunting Black Diablos for the remainder of the hour, as they will be the only monsters spawning during these outbreaks.

Successfully hitting the 100-monster target comes with rewards. Your group will receive 3 Black Diablos Tailcases, 3 Ridges, 3 Primeshells, 3 Marrows, and 2,000 Zenny. Additionally, if you use the sign-up roster to coordinate your hunt, you'll be eligible for the exclusive Outbreak Test I Medal.
