Monster Hunter Now is gearing up for Season 5: The Blossoming Blade, and Niantic has shared all the exciting details. Set to launch on March 6th, 2025, this season introduces new challenges, weapons, a Season Pass, and brand-new monsters.
Leading up to Season 5, players can look forward to Chatacabra’s debut on February 28th, marking its first appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds. Additionally, Glavenus and Arzuros will join the game when the season starts.
Season 5 also brings significant updates to weapon balancing. The Sword & Shield will receive a boost, making it easier to target breakable parts like tails. The Perfect Rush Combo (SP) will reward precise timing with enhanced performance, ensuring more satisfying combos. The Guard skill is getting a much-needed upgrade, with higher levels now effectively reducing incoming damage when blocking. Further adjustments will be detailed in the full patch notes released on March 6th.
In other news, inventory space concerns are addressed with the introduction of an Item Box Expansion as a Supply Item, providing an additional 250 slots.
As part of Monster Hunter Now’s 1.5-Year Anniversary on March 17th, a new trading feature will roll out. Players can exchange special materials obtained from hunts and events for valuable rewards such as Item Box Expansions, Weapon Refining Parts, Armor Refining Parts, and Wyvern Gem Shards.
