With the release of Captain America: Brave New World, it's a perfect time to delve back into the expansive Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), now boasting an impressive 35 films. Which MCU movie captures your heart? Are you drawn to the pioneering origin stories like Iron Man, or do you thrill to the epic team-ups that concluded the Infinity Saga? Share your thoughts using our interactive tier list tool below.
The MCU offers a vast selection of films to choose from. Remember, we're focusing solely on entries from Kevin Feige's MCU empire, so no Sony Marvel films this time (apologies to the X-Men fans, except for Wolverine, of course). Here's a peek at my personal tier list, crafted based on what I've enjoyed most over the years:
Unfortunately, Captain America: Brave New World didn't meet my expectations, landing it in the D tier due to what might be the MCU's clumsiest script to date. My placement of 2024's Deadpool & Wolverine in the bottom category may surprise some, but it simply didn't resonate with me. You can find my detailed thoughts on that decision here. Despite this, I believe Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania represents the lowest point in the MCU, easily securing its spot in the D tier.
On the other hand, the pinnacle of my tier list is reserved for the five films I consider truly exceptional. Both Captain America: Civil War and Winter Soldier earn an S-tier spot, masterfully exploring the emotional depths and espionage themes of the MCU. Thor: Ragnarok stands out as one of the funniest films of the past decade, while Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame brilliantly concluded the most crucial chapter of the series.
Do you disagree with my rankings? Do you believe No Way Home is the highlight of Tom Holland's Spider-Man trilogy? Should Black Panther be in the S-tier? Why not create your own MCU movie tier list below and compare your S, A, B, C, and D tiers with the entire IGN community?
Is there a Marvel movie you feel is particularly underrated? Share your thoughts in the comments, and explain why you've ranked the films the way you have.
