In a recent official announcement, NetEase Games has made it clear that players using keyboard and mouse adapters on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles to play Marvel Rivals will face account bans. The company views the use of such adapters as a direct violation of the game's rules, citing the unfair advantage these devices provide due to their heightened control sensitivity and the retention of aiming assistance.
Adapters like the XIM, Cronus Zen, Titan Two, KeyMander, and Brook Sniper simulate gamepad inputs while allowing the use of a keyboard and mouse. This setup offers a significant edge in competitive gameplay, particularly when auto-targeting features are enabled. NetEase defines these adapters as devices or software that mimic gamepad control, leading to an imbalance within the game, especially in competitive scenarios.
To enforce this policy, NetEase has developed sophisticated tools designed to detect the use of these adapters with high precision. Accounts found to be in violation of this rule will be blocked, ensuring a level playing field for all participants.
In addition to addressing adapter usage, players have encountered another challenge related to the game's performance. It has been observed that in Marvel Rivals, a higher frame rate per second (FPS) can lead to increased ping. While this might not be significantly noticeable with relatively low ping, a sudden spike to 150 ms can disrupt gameplay, especially if your usual ping is around 90 ms.
This issue appears to be linked to the game's frame rate. As a temporary solution, gamers are advised to await an official patch that could address this problem. In the meantime, some players suggest maintaining an FPS around 90 to balance performance. This recommendation may seem unusual to fans of games like Counter-Strike 2, but it represents the current optimal strategy for Marvel Rivals.
