As the third fighter introduced in the second season, Mai Shiranui's inclusion has significantly boosted the game's popularity. On the day of her release, the peak concurrent players on Steam soared to over 63,000, a stark increase from the previous peak of 24,000 to 27,000 players seen since May 2024. This surge highlights the impact of Mai's addition to the game.

Mai Shiranui is accessible to Battle Pass holders, allowing them to engage with her in various modes. In the World Tour mode, players can develop relationships with Mai, learn her unique moves, and subsequently test them out in the Battle Hub.
