Master the Master Strike in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 for Brutal Efficiency
Early Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 melee combat can be challenging. However, mastering the Master Strike significantly simplifies things. This guide details how to learn and utilize this powerful technique.
Learning the Master Strike
The Master Strike isn't immediately available. After completing the tutorial, locate Bara the beggar in Troskowitz. She'll direct you to Tomcat, initiating the "Combat Training" side quest.
Find Tomcat in the Nomads' Camp (near the Cumans' Camp and Bozhena's Hut). Complete "Combat Training I," then save your game before attempting "Combat Training II," a considerably harder challenge. Victory over Tomcat in "Combat Training II" unlocks the Master Strike. Consider improving your Strength stat before tackling this quest to increase your chances of success. Saving beforehand is crucial, as failure leaves Henry significantly weakened.
Utilizing the Master Strike
The Master Strike is exclusive to swords. During combat, observe your opponent's weapon position and hold your sword on the opposite side. For example, if they attack from the left, position your sword to the right.
As your opponent strikes, a green shield icon will appear centrally on the screen. Immediately press the attack button to execute the Master Strike, parrying the incoming attack and countering with an unblockable move. Timing is critical; ensure your sword is positioned opposite your opponent's before initiating the attack.
Game-Changing Potential
The Master Strike is incredibly effective, significantly reducing the difficulty of most combat encounters in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
