What's more thrilling than a cyberpunk action RPG? How about one that puts you on a *motorcycle*? While it may not sound revolutionary, it perfectly encapsulates the unique, vibrant, and unabashedly *anime* essence of Tencent's Fizzglee studio's upcoming release, Kaleidorider.
A quick look at Kaleidorider reveals its setting in the futuristic city of Terminus, which is under siege by interdimensional invaders known as the Integration from the alternate dimension called the Sea of Unconsciousness. The only force capable of countering this threat is the titular Kaleidoriders, an all-girl group dedicated to fighting these invaders.
These motorcycle-riding heroines, naturally, can't tackle this challenge alone. They require the assistance of a seemingly ordinary human endowed with Kaleido Vision, who plays a crucial role in locating and battling the Hysteria creatures spawned by the Integration. This is where you, the player, step in to guide them into battle.
**Kiss, kiss, fall in love**
It's impossible to ignore Kaleidorider's overt anime influences. From the flashy outfits and the self-described Doki-Doki (romance) plotline to the exaggerated action sequences, this game embodies the spirit of a classic romance-action anime brought to life.
However, embracing these anime tropes is not necessarily a criticism. The trailer showcases stunning action sequences, complemented by lavish 3D graphics and striking visual effects. The innovative use of motorcycles as a central gameplay mechanic adds an intriguing layer to the experience. If you're a fan of kitschy action, Kaleidorider is likely to be right up your alley.
While you eagerly await the release of Kaleidorider, why not explore some top releases available exclusively on third-party app stores? This week, Will delved into QuickVenture, another action RPG that promises exciting gameplay.
