As you cultivate your farm in *Fields of Mistria*, fostering meaningful relationships with the locals is just as crucial as tending to your crops. Juniper, a standout character, offers a unique opportunity for a deeper connection, and understanding her preferences in gifts is key to winning her heart. Here's a comprehensive guide to help you gift Juniper the best items and deepen your bond.
In *Fields of Mistria*, while you can build friendships with nearly everyone, romance is an exclusive option with a select group of NPCs. With the v0.13.0 update, you can pursue romance with one of 11 characters, including Caldarus himself.
Each romanceable NPC has a heart meter that grows based on your interactions. To romance a specific character, engage with them regularly and be mindful of their likes and dislikes. Start by **talking to them daily** as you go about your tasks in town. Daily chats can significantly boost your relationship. Additionally, complete any requests they post on the town board to increase their heart gauge further.
You can also **give them a gift once per day**, choosing items they particularly enjoy. These items vary by character and can be gathered or crafted. On their birthday, make sure to give them a gift they love for an extra boost to their heart gauge. Consistent efforts will quickly enhance their affection toward you.
Keep in mind, the current heart gauge maxes out at **six hearts**. After reaching six hearts, a cutscene will hint at a budding romance, but it's not fully developed yet. According to the game's roadmap, future updates will introduce 8 and 10-heart events, along with options for marriage and children, ensuring your romance in Mistria has room to flourish.
Juniper, a romanceable character in *Fields of Mistria*, can often be found at her bathhouse in the northeastern part of town or searching for witchcraft ingredients. To romance her, focus on visiting her, fulfilling her town board requests, and giving her thoughtful gifts daily.
Juniper has a range of items she "likes" and "loves." Her birthday falls on the **26th day of Fall**, so gifting her a "loved" item on this day will significantly increase her heart gauge. Avoid giving her items she dislikes, which include all universal dislikes and **Sod**.
You can monitor her heart gauge status at any time in your journal under the heart icon tab.
