Japan Expansion for Ticket to Ride: Build the Bullet Train Network!

Ticket to Ride enthusiasts can now embark on a virtual journey through Japan, thanks to the latest expansion released by Marmalade Game Studio and Asmodee Entertainment. The Japan Expansion introduces the iconic Japan map from the physical game to digital platforms, offering a fresh twist to the classic board game experience.

Help Build the Train Network

Unlike the traditional game where you build your own train empire, the Japan map challenges you to contribute to a national Bullet Train network that benefits all players. It's a cooperative endeavor with a twist. While you can attempt to be strategic and let others do the heavy lifting while you collect points, beware of the game's karma system. Neglect your Bullet Train responsibilities, and you'll lose 20 points when the final scores are tallied. So, even if you're planning some friendly sabotage, you'll need to lend a helping hand.

The Japan Expansion also introduces two new characters to enrich the gameplay. Meet Nakanishi Kimiko, a travel blogger who's all about the festival scene and her dog, adding a lively touch to your journey. Then there's Moriyama Isamu, a gyōji, or sumo referee, who brings a slice of Japan's rich history and culture to the game, enhancing the local flavor beyond just maps and trains.

Ticket to Ride Has Upgraded Trains with the Japan Expansion

Your train collection gets a stylish upgrade with this expansion. You'll receive two new trains and two carriages to enhance your gameplay. The Ichi Eki Saki train and the Tsuki Sleeper carriage are perfect for those seeking a more relaxed travel experience. For those in a hurry, the Isogaba Maware train and the Hayai carriage offer speed and efficiency.

As spring blooms, the Japan map is set to provide a delightful seasonal backdrop to your gaming sessions. The Japan Expansion is available for download now, ready to add a new dimension to your Ticket to Ride adventures. You can find it on the Google Play Store.
