InZOI's Game Director, Hyungjun "KJoon" Kim, has unveiled details about the game's intriguing paranormal elements. Players will gain limited control over ghosts, a mechanic interwoven with a karma system. This system tracks player actions, impacting their lives and even their afterlife.

A character's karma determines their fate after death: peaceful transition to the afterlife or a ghostly existence among the living. Ghosts must earn missing karma points to move on.
While ghosts are present in the early access version, player control is a future addition. The developer emphasizes InZOI's focus on realism, keeping paranormal elements subtle. However, the possibility of future unexplained phenomena has been suggested.
