Indy's a Dog Lover!

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: Dog-Friendly GameplayWhile many games feature violence against animals, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle takes a different approach. MachineGames Creative Director, Jens Andersson, revealed to IGN that the game reflects Indiana Jones's affinity for dogs. While combat against human foes is central to the gameplay, interactions with dogs will be non-lethal. This marks a significant shift from the studio's previous work, such as Wolfenstein, where animal combat was commonplace.

Andersson explained, "Indiana Jones is a dog person. It’s a family-friendly IP in many ways, and this is how we're ensuring that. Dogs might appear as obstacles, but you'll only scare them away, not harm them."

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: Global AdventureLaunching December 9th on Xbox Series X|S and PC (with a tentative PS5 release in Spring 2025), Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is set in 1937, between Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade. Indy's quest begins with the recovery of stolen artifacts from Marshall College, leading him on a globe-trotting adventure from the Vatican and Egyptian pyramids to the submerged temples of Sukhothai.

Indy's trusty whip will be used for both traversal and combat, allowing him to disarm and subdue human enemies in open-world-inspired environments. But rest assured, dog lovers: no canine companions will suffer at the end of Indy's whip.
