If you're always tinkering with small electronics, you'll be excited to hear that Hoto is offering a fantastic 20% discount on their latest release, the Hoto SnapBloq. This modular collection of precision powered tools is now available for $209.99, down from its original price of $259.99, which means you're saving a solid $50. Each set within the SnapBloq lineup, typically priced at $99.99, is now reduced to $69.99. Hoto, a well-recognized brand popular on Amazon and even available at Costco, ensures quality and reliability with their products.
For just $209.99, you can grab Hoto's introductory SnapBloq combo, which includes an electric precision screwdriver set, an electric mini drill set, and an electric mini rotary set. These tools come in separate, stackable boxes for easy organization and portability. Currently, these three tools make up the entire SnapBloq lineup, but Hoto has plans to expand this collection in the future.
The precision screwdriver in this set boasts a higher torque rating of 0.5Nm, surpassing the 0.3Nm found in other Hoto variants on Amazon. Equipped with a brushless motor, an 800mAh battery that provides up to 60 minutes of runtime, USB Type-C charging, and a built-in LED for illumination, it's ideal for handling those tiny screws that often require specialized miniature bits.
The mini drill offers a 0.1Nm torque rating and comes with three adjustable speed settings that can reach up to 1,200RPM. It includes twenty drill bits and, while not a substitute for a full-sized power drill or impact driver, it's powerful enough for tasks like drilling through plastics, wood, PCBs (such as circuit boards), and resin.
The mini rotary drill features stepless speed adjustment and can achieve speeds up to 22,000RPM. With a battery life of up to 30 minutes on a single charge, this tool is versatile and comes with a variety of bits suitable for drilling, routing, sanding, and polishing.
Having used a Hoto mini screwdriver in the past, I can attest to their effectiveness for specific tasks. These tools are compact, roughly the size of a pocket flashlight, and won't replace your heavy-duty power drill and driver. My previous model had a weaker 0.3Nm rating, but the principle remains the same: you'll need to manually start unscrewing before letting the mini screwdriver take over, and similarly, you'll need to manually secure the final turn when driving screws in. When you're dealing with numerous small screws, this tool can be a real time-saver and a relief for your wrists. Just remember, these small tools have their limits in terms of power.
