To celebrate the release of the Gothic 1 Remake demo, "Nyras Prologue," THQ Nordic and Alkimia Interactive have unveiled a new trailer. Unlike the original Gothic, where you played as the Nameless Hero, this demo lets you experience the game from the perspective of a prisoner named Nyras. His goal remains the same: survival in the unforgiving world of Gothic.
Released during the Steam Next Fest, the Gothic Remake demo has already broken records, boasting the highest concurrent player count of any game in the series:

The demo showcases the enhanced graphics, refined animations, and the revamped Unreal Engine 5-powered combat system. While the prologue offers a taste of the full game, it naturally doesn't fully represent the expansive freedom and deep RPG mechanics players can expect in the final release.
Gothic Remake is slated for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam and GOG). A release date is yet to be announced.
