The Game Awards 2024: A Look at the Nominees

Geoff Keighley's The Game Awards 2024 has unveiled its nominees across 19 categories, culminating in the coveted Game of the Year (GOTY) award. This year's contenders represent a diverse range of titles, showcasing the breadth and creativity within the gaming industry.

The GOTY race is particularly fierce, with heavy hitters like Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (leading with 7 nominations overall) competing against the critically acclaimed Astro Bot, indie sensation Balatro, the visually stunning Black Myth: Wukong, the highly anticipated Metaphor: ReFantazio, and the controversial Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.

Voting is now open! Cast your vote for your favorites on The Game Awards' official website and Discord server until December 11th.

The winners will be revealed on December 12th, 2024, during a live ceremony at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The event will be streamed globally across various platforms, including Twitch, TikTok, YouTube, and the official Game Awards website.
