Independent game developer Kyrylo Burlaka has unveiled his latest project, Fracture Point, a thrilling new roguelike first-person shooter. Set in a dystopian metropolis, this game promises a fast-paced experience with procedurally generated levels and looter shooter elements, all set against the backdrop of an ongoing war between a powerful corporation and the resistance.
In Fracture Point, players will embark on a challenging journey up the corporation's skyscraper, scavenging for gear and loot to upgrade their character as they progress floor by floor. Along the way, they'll face off against mercenaries, engage in intense battles with security forces, and confront formidable bosses. Fracture Point evokes memories of Criterion's iconic PS2-era first-person shooter, Black. After watching the trailer, you might find yourself drawing similar comparisons. When I discussed this with Burlaka, he acknowledged, "Criterion's games were a significant part of my gaming experience growing up," suggesting a clear influence on his new project.
If you're eager to keep up with Fracture Point's development and be among the first to play it, you can wishlist it on Steam. Stay tuned for more updates as this exciting game progresses towards its release.
