Charlie Cox's Daredevil has made a triumphant return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) after his stint on Netflix, sparking speculation about potential comebacks for other members of The Defenders. Iron Fist actor Finn Jones has expressed his readiness to reprise his role, stating emphatically, "I’m here and I’m ready."

Jones last portrayed Danny Rand in the second season of the Iron Fist Netflix series in 2018 and in The Defenders, where he joined forces with Daredevil/Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter). Despite the mixed reception to Jones' portrayal of Iron Fist, the successful integration of Daredevil into the MCU has reignited hopes for a revival of The Defenders, with reports suggesting Marvel is "exploring" this possibility.

He acknowledged the fans' mixed feelings, stating, "[There is a] willingness for the fans to see that happen. There’s a lot of willingness for the fans to see that not happen as well. I’m very aware of the critiques of the character and my role in it."

Undeterred, Jones passionately responded to the critiques, saying, "My response to that is like, give me a f***ing chance, man. I’m here and I’m ready. I want to prove people wrong. So I would love to see that happen."

Daredevil: Born Again continues the narrative established in the Netflix series, which once formed a smaller-scale Marvel universe alongside shows like Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage. These series, along with the overarching Defenders storyline, are now officially part of the MCU canon and available on Disney+. Jon Bernthal's Punisher, previously exclusive to Netflix, also returns in Daredevil: Born Again, further bridging the gap between the two universes.
