Players can now enjoy three new control options in ROME: Total War: Positioning Mode, Melee Mode, and Automatic Deselection. A simple tap and hold now allows you to move your armies, agents, or fleets, eliminating the need for manual path dragging.

Positioning Mode enables you to fine-tune the placement of your units with just a tap and hold. Meanwhile, the Group Grid feature simplifies the management of unit groups with a collapsible selection menu. Melee Mode is particularly useful, as it allows ranged units to seamlessly switch to close combat when the situation demands it.

One of the standout features of this update is Command Slowdown, which automatically reduces the game's speed when issuing complex orders, ensuring you have the time needed to strategize effectively.
