Explore Spider-Woman's Origin in New Marvel Contest of Champions Update

April is shaping up to be an exciting month for *Marvel Contest of Champions* enthusiasts, with the introduction of the new champion, Spider-Woman. Jessica Drew, known as Spider-Woman, was born into a world of challenges, having been exposed to uranium as a child. Her father, a brilliant geneticist, attempted to save her by injecting her with a unique blend of spider DNA. After a long recovery, Jessica emerged not only healed but endowed with extraordinary spider-like abilities, transforming her into the formidable Spider-Woman. Fans can look forward to adding this new champion to their roster starting April 17th.

Before Spider-Woman's arrival, the game will introduce another champion with a starkly different persona on April 9th. Enter Lumatrix, a deadly assassin crafted by the Founders. Designed for stealth and lethal efficiency, Lumatrix harnesses powerful light-based abilities to infiltrate and eliminate targets with precision.

What Else Is New?

On the narrative front, Act 9 Chapter 2, titled "Inquisition," unfolds with intense drama. Carina faces severe injuries after clashing with the forces of Ouroborus, while Doctor Doom forms an unexpected alliance with the Fantastic Four to combat the spreading corruption of the Chronoserpent. A new antagonist, Lotan, adds further complexity to the storyline.

Starting April 9th and running through May 7th, the new Event Quest, "Spy Games," will see Black Widow delving into the enigmatic Eidols, with Spider-Woman joining the investigation to unravel the mystery.

Dark Phoenix makes a dramatic return in the Side Quest "Dark Bounties," challenging players to hunt down a list of champions marked for bounty and claim their rewards.

The "Incursions: Dark Phoenix Saga Sector" also makes a comeback, urging players to assemble their most powerful Saga champions to battle for coveted rewards including Dark Plumes, Light Essence, Tier 7 Basic Fragments, and 7-Star Class Signature Stones.
