Elden Ring: Nightreign is set to introduce a thrilling new ranged class, the Ironeye, ahead of its eagerly anticipated release in May. This sniper class promises to revolutionize ranged gameplay with its focus on swiftness and dexterity. Dive into the details of this exciting addition!
Elden Ring: Nightreign has unveiled the Ironeye, a new class that brings a fresh approach to ranged combat. The Ironeye class is designed for those who appreciate the finesse and speed of a sniper, equipped with a massive bow and arrow setup. The character's trailer showcases its agility, with the ability to scale walls and execute precise mid-air attacks. The class also introduces a new aiming system, which enhances the ease of achieving those crucial headshots. Remarkably, the Ironeye can even perform a riposte with a bow and arrow, delivering a fatal shot straight to the heart of enemies.
During the Nightreign closed network test in February, players had the chance to explore four of the eight playable classes: the versatile Wylder, the robust Guardian, the agile Duchess, and the mystical Recluse. The Ironeye marks the sixth class to be revealed, and with Nightreign's release approaching next month, fans eagerly await the unveiling of the final two classes, possibly later this month.
The introduction of quality-of-life enhancements, such as the new aiming system, has sparked hope among fans that these improvements might also find their way into the original Elden Ring, potentially making bows a more appealing choice for players. Historically, bows have been less favored in the original game due to the dominance of melee combat. However, the Ironeye's demonstration of the power and precision of bows and arrows may encourage more players to adopt a ranged build in Nightreign.
Elden Ring: Nightreign, a standalone adventure within the Elden Ring universe, is scheduled for release on May 30th, 2025, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S for $39.99. For more detailed insights into the game, be sure to check out Game8’s comprehensive article below!
