Destiny 2: Rep Bug Frustrates Guardians

Destiny 2's Grandmaster Nightfalls return has unearthed a persistent Warlock reputation bug. Despite recent positive updates and new content like "Into the Light" and "The Final Shape," bugs continue to plague the game, impacting player experience. While Bungie actively addresses issues, new ones emerge frequently.

Recent problems include exploits granting free rewards in Crucible and unlimited Paracausal Shots with Hawkmoon. Warlocks have faced a particularly frustrating reputation bug, hindering Gambit XP gains and slowing rank progression compared to Titans and Hunters. This issue now extends beyond Gambit.

The June 25th weekly reset brought back Grandmaster Nightfalls with boosted Vanguard reputation and double rewards. However, Warlocks are still experiencing significantly reduced reputation gains.

This ongoing Vanguard reputation bug, affecting double XP rewards for ritual activities, has gone largely unnoticed until recently. Players report slower-than-normal leveling, suggesting the problem has persisted for months without official acknowledgment from Bungie. Increased awareness followed the discovery of similar issues impacting Gambit XP for Warlocks last week.

Currently, players can only raise awareness and hope Bungie addresses this issue. Update 8.0.0.5 addressed various problems, including Ritual Pathfinder adjustments and the removal of Elemental surges from Dungeons and Raids. However, the Warlock reputation bug remains unresolved.
