Adult coloring books have surged in popularity in recent years, offering a delightful and soothing pastime that transforms simple line drawings into stunning works of art. The beauty of adult coloring lies in the freedom to choose your colors and decide whether to color within the lines or not.
With more adults embracing coloring as a hobby, the market has responded with an array of options tailored specifically for them. Among the notable franchises to join this trend is Demon Slayer. To date, two official Demon Slayer coloring books have hit the shelves, and a third is eagerly awaited, currently available for preorder on Amazon.

The third installment of the official Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba coloring book is scheduled for release on April 8, 2025. This book showcases artwork by Koyoharu Gotouge and includes scenes from the Swordsmith Village arc, the Hashira Training arc, and the Infinity Castle arc. It boasts over 70 line drawings featuring beloved characters such as Tanjiro Kamado, Nezuko Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, and Inosuke Hashibira.
If you're excited about this upcoming release, consider exploring the previous two editions as well. They offer a similar artistic experience but with unique drawings and scenes from the manga. For those interested in similar themes, there are numerous other adult coloring books based on popular manga series worth checking out.

If you're new to adult coloring books, you'll need to equip yourself with the right coloring supplies. My top choice is colored pencils for their precision and detail, though markers and gel pens are also excellent options. Here's a guide to help you choose the best utensils for your coloring adventures.
A quality set of colored pencils provides more precision and detail than markers. However, the performance can vary greatly depending on the brand. While a budget-friendly set like Crayola will get the job done, it won't offer the same blending capabilities or quality as a higher-end option. For the best results, I recommend the Prismacolor Premier colored pencils, which are my go-to choice for any coloring project.

Markers are ideal for those who prefer vibrant colors and faster coloring. The best markers for coloring books are alcohol-based, as they blend easily and dry quickly, preventing the streaks often seen with water-based markers. My recommendation would be the Ohuhu alcohol markers, which I've personally used for several projects with great success.
Gel pens strike a balance between colored pencils and markers, offering fine detail and vibrant colors. Unlike regular ink pens, gel pens use a water-based gel ink that is thicker and smoother, resembling paint. While I find colored pencils and markers more suitable for coloring, if you prefer the feel of pens, I suggest trying out the Gelly Roll pens available on Amazon.
