Originally published in 1981, Stephen King's "Cujo" was swiftly adapted into a 1983 cult classic horror film directed by Lewis Teague, with a screenplay by Don Carlos Dunaway and Barbara Turner. The story centers on a devoted mother, portrayed by Dee Wallace, who finds herself trapped in a car with her young son as they are stalked by Cujo, a once-friendly dog turned deadly after being bitten by a rabid bat. As the heat rises and their car's engine fails, the pair must fight for survival against the relentless canine.
