Crunchyroll, the anime streaming giant, has just released the cult-classic rhythm roguelike, Crypt of the NecroDancer, on Android! Now titled "Crunchyroll: NecroDancer," this beat-driven adventure challenges you to dance your way to victory.
Originally developed by Brace Yourself Games and released on PC in April 2015, NecroDancer previously saw brief appearances on iOS (2016) and Android (2021). This Crunchyroll release, however, brings a significantly enhanced experience to both iOS and Android platforms, boasting a wealth of new content.
Step into the rhythmically-challenged shoes of Cadence, a treasure hunter's daughter searching for her missing parent within a spooky, beat-infused crypt. As a roguelike, every playthrough offers a unique and challenging experience. Master 15 playable characters, each with distinct styles and abilities, all while grooving to Danny Baranowsky's epic original soundtrack. Every move, every attack must sync with the music—miss a beat, and you'll face the consequences. Battle a cast of equally groovy enemies, from dancing skeletons to hip-hop dragons!
Crunchyroll and Brace Yourself Games have significantly upgraded the mobile version. Expect remixes, fresh content, and even exciting Danganronpa character skins for anime fans. Cross-platform multiplayer and mod support are also included. And for Hatsune Miku enthusiasts, DLC featuring the virtual pop star and the Synchrony expansion is slated for release later this year.
Crunchyroll subscribers can dive into this rhythm roguelike immediately. Download it now from the Google Play Store!
