⚫︎ As excitement builds for Borderlands 4's upcoming September release, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford has released a special SHiFT Code for all existing Borderlands games. This code grants players 3 Golden or Skeleton Keys and is valid until March 27, 2025. If you own all the Borderlands games, you can redeem it separately in each one, amassing a total of 15 keys!
⚫︎ Following months of anticipation, Gearbox Software has officially announced that Borderlands 4 will launch on September 23, 2025. This announcement came via a release date trailer on the game's official YouTube channel, which also showcased snippets of gameplay, including new vault hunters' abilities, fresh weapons, and the return of the iconic Psycho enemies.
⚫︎ In an exclusive interview with GamesRadar, Borderlands senior producer Anthony Nichlson shed light on the game's direction. He revealed that Borderlands 4's humor will echo that of Borderlands 2, while the game's overall tone will be reminiscent of the original Borderlands. Nichlson emphasized that game design is an evolving art, and Borderlands 4 aims to reflect that evolution.

⚫︎ After a cryptic title reveal in August 2024, Borderlands 4 is set to unveil a comprehensive content reveal through its Official First Look Trailer. This trailer promises new Vault Hunters, major antagonists, and the beloved Claptrap, all featured alongside exciting gameplay footage.
⚫︎ Gearbox president Randy Pitchford teased that the upcoming reveal of Borderlands 4 at The Game Awards will include "plenty of in-game footage." Additionally, he hinted at a cinematic sequence that will bridge the narrative gap between Borderlands 3 and Borderlands 4, promising an immersive experience for fans.
⚫︎ Caleb McAlpine, a devoted Borderlands fan battling cancer, had his dream realized when he was granted early access to play Borderlands 4. In a touching Reddit post dated November 26, Caleb described being flown to Gearbox's studio, meeting the development team, and experiencing the much-anticipated looter shooter firsthand.
