Speak with Casper and Havel

To begin "In Vino Veritas," head to the east side of Kuttenberg City where you'll find Casper Rudolf by his drink cart. Just enter through the east gate and continue straight until you bump into him. Casper is eager to uncover the secret behind the monks' superior wine, but first, you need to take some preparatory steps. Make sure to exhaust all dialogue options with Casper to learn about Havel and the book he entrusted to Adleta. This information will guide your approach in impressing Havel.

If you choose to retrieve the book from Adleta, head to the southeast corner of Kuttenberg’s inner wall during the morning or afternoon. There, you'll find an open garden where Adleta often spends her time. Before going, collect five Marigolds. You can either approach Adleta before her brother Hugo arrives or speak with Hugo first to get his permission to talk to her. Be sure to remain courteous during your conversation with Adleta, explaining that you need the book for Casper. You might pass a skill check to convince her to hand over the book, or you can offer her the Marigolds as a gesture of goodwill to receive it in return. Once you have the book, be sure to read it from your inventory.

Alternatively, you can skip the book retrieval and head straight to Havel, who runs an inn in Kuttenberg City. Before meeting him, ensure your drinking skills are up to par and that your outfit boosts your Charisma to at least 18. Engage Havel in conversation at the inn, choosing these dialogue options:

While completing this side quest isn't necessary, starting it allows you to explore the vineyard without being labeled a trespasser. Inside, locate Jerome, who should be sitting on a bench near the main building.

Once at the main building, sneak in, turn left, and head to the storeroom. Use your lockpicking skills to open the chests there, where you'll find the Sulphur Wicks Casper needs. For an additional reward of Groschen, don't forget to visit the garden behind the main building and collect five seedlings before leaving.

If you wish to complete "Under the Straw Hat," participate in tasks such as removing plants around the vines and moving sacks.
