How to Unlock ‘Under the Straw Hat’ in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

To begin "Under the Straw Hat," you'll need to engage in "In Vino Veritas" by speaking with Casper Rudolf on the west side of Kuttenberg. He's keen on enhancing his wine and needs your help. You can choose to impress Havel directly with your wine knowledge or retrieve Casper's book from Adleta for deeper insights. If opting for Havel, ensure you're dressed to impress and clean; otherwise, he won't give you the time of day. During your conversation with Havel, select "Germany," "Steinberger," and "It’s missing ginger" to extract the information Casper needs. Once you've gathered this intel, report back to Casper.

Access the Vineyard

With the next step, Casper tasks you with infiltrating a vineyard north of Kuttenberg to uncover more about the incense Havel mentioned. Avoid wandering into the fields, as it's considered trespassing. Instead, follow the main road into the vineyard and speak with the recruiter to officially start the "Under the Straw Hat" quest. Continue along the road, passing a guard to enter the estate area, where you'll find Jerome on a bench. Inform Jerome you're there to report, and he'll brief you on your new job at the vineyard.

Working at the Vineyard

Your vineyard job starts the following day, so rest at an inn or your chosen lodging and return in the morning. To earn wages, you'll need to move sacks and pick plants like Thistle around the vines. However, your primary goal is to find the secret incense in the wine cellar, located downstairs in the main building where you met Jerome. Accessing this restricted area requires either lockpicking or stealing the keys from Jerome. Inside the cellar, locate a chest and take all the Sulphur Wicks to fulfill the main objective. Optionally, for an increased reward, grab five seedlings from across the main building, mindful of the trespassing risk.

After securing the wicks and possibly the seedlings, return to Casper to complete both "Under the Straw Hat" and "In Vino Veritas" quests. Your journey in Kuttenberg doesn't end here; you can explore further with quests like "Master Schindel’s Toys."
