Embark on a thrilling quest in *Fortnite*'s Chapter 6, Season 2, with the Wanted: Joss Outlaw challenges. The Big Dill challenge is just the beginning of a series of tough tasks, and collecting mineral samples using the Plasma Burst Laser is next on the list. This isn't for the faint of heart!
The Plasma Burst Laser, a new addition to the Lawless season, is perfect for cracking into those pesky Vaults scattered across the map. However, as an Epic item, it's not exactly easy to find. Your best bet is to search POIs known for Vaults, like Crime City, which is packed with Go Bags and Chests. Alternatively, two Black Markets offer the Plasma Burst Laser for 600 Gold. While the Black Market south of Seaport City is an option, the one near Magic Mosses is more strategically located for the next challenge—returning to Joss's lab.
Now that you've got your Epic weapon, it's time to find the right stone structure. It's not just any stone; you need a destructible one. The permanent stone structures won't work. Find a piece of stone you could normally break with your Pickaxe.
Aim your Plasma Burst Laser at the stone and blast away. Once destroyed, a small piece of rock containing the mineral samples will appear on the ground. Interact with it to collect the samples and complete the quest.
From there, the game will guide you back to Joss's lab. Interact with the designated spot to analyze the samples, earn more XP, and complete the Wanted: Joss Outlaw Quests. Now get back to the action and show off your newly unlocked items!
That's how to collect mineral samples using the Plasma Burst Laser in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2. For more Fortnite news, check out the rumored collaborations for the Lawless season.
