Carrion the Reverse Horror Game That Lets You Hunt, Consume and Evolve Drops on Mobile Soon!

Devolver Digital boasts an impressive roster of Android games, including acclaimed titles like GRIS, Reigns: Her Majesty, Downwell, and Reigns: Game of Thrones. Adding to this exciting lineup is the upcoming mobile release of Carrion, the unique "reverse-horror" game.

Initially launched on PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One in July 2020, Carrion offers a fresh take on the horror genre. Developed by Phobia Game Studio and published by Devolver Digital, the mobile version arrives on October 31st.

What is Carrion Mobile?

In Carrion, you become the horror. You control a mysterious, red, amorphous creature—a being of pure, slithering, clawing, chomping terror. This isn't a survival horror game; you *are* the terror. The game flips the script, putting you in the role of a monstrous entity contained within a high-security Relith Science research facility.

Scientists have experimented on you, attempting to control your DNA. But you've escaped, evolved, and now seek vengeance. Your goal? Escape the facility by any means necessary, consuming scientists, security guards, and anyone else who stands in your path. You'll crawl through vents, smash doors, and unleash your tentacles in a wave of panic and destruction.

As you progress, you'll unlock upgrades, enhancing your ability to breach barriers and even increasing your size. Intrigued? Check out the trailer below:

Pre-Register for Carrion?

Fans of Metroidvania-style games will find much to love in Carrion's blend of exploration and progression. The pixel art style gives the gore a surprisingly charming aesthetic.

The mobile version offers a unique approach: you can try Carrion for free. Unlock the full game and its DLC with a single in-app purchase if you enjoy it. Pre-register now on the Google Play Store or wait for its launch on October 31st.
