Heads up: music streaming service Spotify experienced an outage this morning.
According to IGN's sister site Downdetector, reports of Spotify outages started around 6 a.m. PT today, and at the time of this article, they were still coming in. We at IGN were unable to access the service for much of the morning, and when we managed to open the app, it wouldn't play music.
Spotify has acknowledged the issues and is "working to resolve it as soon as possible." The company also debunked rumors that the outage was due to a security hack.
We are aware of the outage and working to resolve it as soon as possible. The reports of this being a security hack are false.
